Introduction and issue:
The start-up ecosystem in Burundi is in its infancy. Only less than 10% of businesses  created manage to operate in a sustainable manner. Some are created and die being in the developmental stage despite the efforts of entrepreneurship development actors such as NGOs, Government and educational institutions.
Few of the entrepreneurs supported by development projects and programs manage to continue their business projects when the supporting partners close the projects.
